Electronic Prescription Service
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) allows your prescription to be sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice. By nominating a pharmacy to receive your prescriptions electronically you will no longer have to collect a paper prescription* from your GP practice – instead, you can go straight to the nominated pharmacy to pick up your prescription items.
If you wish to nominate Broadway Pharmacy to receive your prescriptions electronically just pop in or give us a call and we will set that up for you.
*Controlled drug prescriptions cannot currently be sent electronically and these will still need collecting from your GP surgery
Medicines Use Review
If you are taking multiple prescription items you may be eligible for a Medicines Use Review (MUR) with one of our pharmacists. During an MUR, our pharmacist will talk with you about the medicines that you are taking - what they are for and how to take them to get the best out of them. An MUR gives you a chance to discuss any concerns or queries you may have about your medicines. Eligible patients can have an MUR every twelve months.
New Medicine Service
If you are prescribed a new medication for a long-term condition you may be eligible for the New Medicine Scheme (NMS). This scheme covers certain groups of medications and gives you extra help and advice to get the best out of your medication. If you are prescribed a medication that falls into one of these groups our pharmacist will arrange to contact you to see how you are getting on with your medication. If you are having any problems taking the medication our pharmacist will aim to resolve them with you or refer you back to your GP if necessary.
